This Privacy Policy describes how Forgepoint Operations Pty Ltd handles personal information collected through forgepointoperations.com.au, website enquiries, telephone calls, emails, quotations, service enquiries, customer relationships, supplier relationships, contractor relationships, recruitment, business administration and other ordinary business activities.
Privacy approach
We handle personal information using the Australian Privacy Principles as our practical baseline where applicable.

Depending on your dealings with us, information may include:
- name, business name, organisation and job title;
- phone number, email address, postal address and suburb;

- details of the service required, project information, enquiry content, quotation details and correspondence;
- files you voluntarily upload;
- customer, supplier and contractor records, including ABN details;

Sensitive information

Forgepoint Operations Pty Ltd does not sell personal information.
Direct marketing
- Marketing is sent only where the recipient has chosen to receive it or where otherwise permitted by law.
- Ordinary enquiry consent is not automatically treated as marketing consent.
- Marketing consent is not bundled into an enquiry.
- Recipients can opt out at any time and unsubscribe requests will be respected.
- Commercial electronic messages will comply with applicable Australian requirements.
Photography and marketing content
We will obtain separate permission before using identifiable photographs or video of a customer, a customer's property, a worksite, completed work, staff or other identifiable individuals in public advertising or marketing where consent is required.

Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, interference, unauthorised access, unauthorised alteration and unauthorised disclosure. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Storage
Information may be stored in business systems, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, email systems, accounting systems, job-management systems, website databases, file-storage systems and systems operated by trusted service providers.
Overseas processing
Some service providers may store, access or process information outside Australia. The countries involved may depend on the provider and configuration. We take reasonable steps to ensure information is handled appropriately where overseas processing or disclosure occurs.
Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the original business purpose, customer service, taxation, financial reporting, insurance, safety, licensing, legal requirements, dispute management, warranty or service records, or other legitimate record-keeping purposes. After that period, reasonable steps are taken to securely destroy or de-identify the information.

Privacy complaints
Privacy concerns or complaints should first be directed to Forgepoint Operations Pty Ltd. We will acknowledge and investigate a complaint within a reasonable period.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Employee records
Some current and former employee records may fall within the employee-records exemption under the Privacy Act. Information relating to job applicants, contractors, subcontractors and volunteers is handled under this Privacy Policy where applicable.
Third-party links
External websites have their own terms and privacy practices and are not controlled by Forgepoint.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current published version applies.
